This new congress combines the significant research from the topical meetings formally known as Advanced Solid-State Photonics (ASSP), Advances in Optical Materials (AIOM), and Fiber Laser Applications (FILAS).

This exciting new program covers the latest advances in solid state materials based lasers, to nonlinear optical devices and associate technologies and applications.

Industrial Ultrafast Lasers
Eric Mottay, President and CEO of Amplitude Systemes – France

Abstract: Ultrafast lasers have moved rapidly during the last few years from advanced scientific instruments to industrial tools enabling the development of new medical and industrial applications. Their unique advantage of being able to interact with matter in an extremely precise way has been complemented by tremendous improvements in laser technology, most notably in terms of simplicity, reliability and size. We will review key ultrafast technologies available today, and will present selected case studies illustrating their acceptance into new applications, as well as outline future key developments.

Biography: Amplitude Systemes was founded by Eric in 2001 and is now a leader in industrial ultrafast lasers. Eric graduated from the Ecole Superieure d'Optique, Orsay, in 1985, and has since specialized in laser development and manufacturing.
