 Jörg-Peter Elbers, Senior Vice President Advanced Technology, Standards and IPR, ADVA 

Jörg-Peter Elbers is Senior Vice President Advanced Technology, Standards and IPR at ADVA and responsible for technology strategy and applied research. Prior to joining ADVA, he held senior technical and leadership roles at Ericsson, Marconi and Siemens. Jörg is member of OSA, senior member of IEEE, board member of European Technology Platform on Networks (Networld Europe) and the German Information Technology Society (VDE ITG) as well as member of the ECOC management team, the OFC long range planning committee, and the OIDA Executive Forum planning committee.

 

Xiang Liu, Vice President for Optical Transport & Access, Futurewei Technologies

 Xiang Liu is Vice President for Optical Transport and Access at Futurewei Technologies. He had been with Bell   Labs working on high-speed optical transmission technologies for 14 years. He has authored over   350 publications and holds over 100 US patents. He has served as a General Co-Chair of OFC 2018, and is   currently serving as a Deputy Editor of Optics Express and an Advisory Board member of NGOF. Xiang   received a Ph.D. degree in applied physics from Cornell University. Dr. Liu is a Fellow of the OSA and the IEEE.
