Fast, Accurate and Precise - Advances in Optical Component Characterization
With the rapid advancement of Integrated Photonic Components, there is a need to upgrade and deliver Test and Measurement solutions to characterize these devices in both lab and production environments. Santec has a 35-year history of bringing tunable laser based test and measurement systems to market, and our lasers are widely used to capture precise wavelength and polarization dependent loss data. In this talk, we will highlight the flexibility of test systems from Santec, illustrated by the broad range of applications served, including those in Silicon Photonic.

Jonathan Evans is the VP of Sales and Marketing for Santec USA. With Santec since 2001, Jonathan now has responsibility for managing Santec's sales operations in the North America including those in Photonics Test and Measurement, Optical Components, Imaging and Medical markets. Throughout his career, Jonathan has been an advocate for optical technologies in a wide range of applications, a passion developed while attaining his Ph.D. in Laser Physics at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
