New Ceramic Converters for Efficient Light Conversion
SCHOTT has developed phosphor ceramic converters for laser pumped phosphor light sources. This material offers reliable performance, specifically in terms of brightness and color that remains constant over time. The Static Ceramic Converters offer a compact light source solutions with no moving parts, while the Dynamic Ceramic Converters enable high luminance applications, such as digital projectors. In addition, they do not require a warm-up period and are free of any environmentally harmful mercury.

In 2010, Dustin graduated with a B.S. in Optical Science and Engineering from U.C. Davis. He has nearly 10 years of experience in customer support and collaboration in a variety of optical metrology, laser, and LED applications. In his current role as a Sale Engineer with SCHOTT North America, he is responsible for the SCHOTT Ceramic Converter product line in North America, and has been supporting customers’ different lighting applications.
