AIP, the International Center for Theoretical Physics, and the University of Campinas are excited to announce an upcoming Industrial Physics Forum, "Conference on Industrial Physics in Emerging Economies II," that will be held Sept. 28 – Oct. 3, 2014 at the University of Campinas (near Sao Paolo) in Brazil. The first three days of the conference will include talks, networking opportunities, and a field excursion designed to illustrate how physical scientists can contribute to the scientific and economic growth of their regions. The final two days will be a short course on entrepreneurship for physicists. Travel support is available for graduate students, post docs, and early career scientists, and for scientists in need of financial aid who are attending from regions with developing or emerging economies.
