Professor Boltasseva has made significant contributions to the world of optics by pioneering research in alternative plasmonic materials, together with her co-PI, Prof. Shalaev. She is an inspiring leader, pushing the boundaries of plasmonics with new materials to an ever-expanding array of applications. Working under her supervision as a graduate student is an honour and a privilege.
