Professor Eleanor Campbell is Chair of Chemistry, School of Chemistry, University of Edinburgh. Her research interests are ranging from fundamental studies of interaction of fs laser pulses with complex molecules and clusters to growth of carbon nanotubes by CVD, studies of their properties and their potential applications. Her great talent, kindness, and optimism are inspiring for her colleagues and students. I am indebted to Eleanor for many years of fruitful collaboration and support.
