For many years Natalia has been engaged in scientific research and teaching activities at the Irkutsk State University in Eastern Siberia. She is an expert in the field of luminescence and the physics of radiation defects, the author of inventions of laser elements on color centers. Despite the big problems with funding science in Russia and a low salary in the last 25 years, Natalia does not accept any other job offers. She is a true patriot of optical science and is true to her university.
