Angela is my friend, my classmate and the colleague of a thousand battles for the progress of the Optics in our country Colombia. She has firmly, kindly and enthusiastically maintained the banner of the progress of science in our country, in Latin America and from her last and outstanding positions in the world, especially in developing countries. Her life is and has been an example for many young Colombian scientists. Thank you Angela for being in our lives and in our work!
