My professional colleagues tell me I am lucky that my daughter Parama chose Optics as a career. I treasure an amusing childhood (2-year old) photograph of her holding an issue of Photonic Spectra upside down! Little did I know then that one day she would choose Inst of Optics for graduation! Interestingly one of Parama’s papers from Rochester appeared immediately after mine in Op Ex 15 (21). I admire her help to understand intricacies of modern topics like OCT, SC, freq combs, microfibers.
