Kathleen's impact on my graduate and professional career is impossible to overstate. She is a pioneering glass scientist, first rate professor, manager, and an amazing person. Without Kathleen's mentorship I would not be in the position I am today, either as a scientist, or a professional engineer. I know I'm not the only one to impacted by her love of science and love of her students and friends, but I am eternally grateful for it. She is someone I will always look to emulate.
