1/3 of all astronomers (1850-1940)

1/3 of all astronomers working globally from 1850 to 1940 were women. The invention of photography enabled a new kind of analysis that women were allowed to do. These women developed techniques to discern differences in photos that corresponded to temperature&chemical compositions and more. They discovered thousands of stars. They discovered pulsars. Pioneering women in science is not new, by failing to give adequate credit to their contributations we debilitate susbsequent generations of women
