I am deeply grateful to Prof. Lingbing Chen, who was the supervisor of my M.Sc. study. I was guided by her into cutting edge research and got the foundation of my research interest and skills well laid benefiting from her knowledge, research achievement and insight with a career starting right after laser invention. Her influence to me was also beyond the laboratory - as my role model - with her elegance as well as love of her family and students.
