Honoring Prof. Quing Zhu

I have been fortunate to be selected by Dr. Zhu as her first PhD advisee who has since aspired to become someone like she is. What Dr. Zhu has always inspired me is her athleticism in academics. She has been a competitive swimmer and an avid long range runner. The long range running that she has never stopped speaks perfectly about her traits in how she researches and guides: set the focus, initiate the drive, endure the process, enjoy the progress, maintain the speed, and reach the target.
