I met Prof. Degiorgio during my University years and his crystal-clear explanations immediately showed his deep understanding of optics and photonics. In the following years I worked with Prof. Degiorgio and my admiration grew even stronger: he is a superb scientific guide and his “let’s make a simple calculation” approach is often enlightening. Additionally, discussing with him also non-scientific topics is amazing: from books to travels and art, he is always able to offer hints and tips.
