I would like to honor Prof. Josef Bille who introduced me to biomedical optics when I was a student at the University of Heidelberg. I consider myself extremely fortunate that my time there coincided with his, and the impact he had on my life is tremendous. If I could build a time machine I would go back to class and appreciate even more the humble genius, and out-of-the-box thinking, of a true visionary.
