Dr. Wilkerson introduced me to the emerging technology of lidar, pointing me on a career path that has lasted over 40 years. Tom always gave me plenty of freedom in developing my own solutions to his challenging problems. He gave me every opportunity to advance myself with publications and travel to conferences to present my work. By including me in proposal, publication, and networking activities, he bolstered my confidence and fostered my creativity. These were keys to my own success.
