John has helped me tremendously in getting started as an assistant professor. From answering minor questions on where to purchase research equipment when I was setting up my lab to mentoring me in writing winning grant proposals, John has been very kind and patient in helping me out. I continue to learn from him every day on how to be an efficient research collaborator and a great team player. He has definitely made a positive impact on my career as an academic.
