Dr. Zhimin Shi has had a profound impact on my life personally and an even greater impact on the entire University of South Florida Physics community. He serves as the USF OSA Advisor where he regularly coordinates outreach events and projects. Aside from this he even uses his free time to schedule informal lectures to share his insights with graduate and undergraduate students. His sacrifices are humbling and inspiring. I am lucky to have met him, as are all of the students under his tutelage.
