When I first started at NRL I was excited and hunting for my place. Orest gave me the opportunity to find my way, letting me fail at times, but picking me up before I fell to far. He was always my closest collaborator after I became full time staff and has always been my biggest cheerleader. Orest epitomized what a good advisor should be, giving me the freedom to explore and make other collaborations, but also keeping me grounded and finding ways to fund my research.
