Honoring Yanhua Shih

I came to the US in 2001 to do my PhD with Prof. Yanhua Shih, who was already renowned as a pioneer of quantum optics. In Dr. Shih's group I grew professionally thanks to the incessant focus on the fundamental physics and the constant fights about it. Most importantly, Dr. Shih's group is truly a family....all his graduate students past and present are forever my brothers, Dr. Shih and Dr. Rubin are forever my parents. I have not seen such strong bond in any other lab.
