Dr. Korb hired me into the NASA work force to help him develop means to measure atmospheric state variables using lidar. He often sequestered me for long periods to help him write proposals and publications because he hated writing them. While I often felt my time would be better spent in the laboratory, these writing activities helped me develop the knowledge and skills necessary to developing my own research program. Larry’s encouragement and comradery were keys to my own success.
