Richard Cahill, Manager of the Electro-Optics Lab at McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Company,, Huntington Beach, CA served as a mentor for both technical and managerial skills. He allowed me to manage a small program on optical gyros that rapidly grew to a major effort on fiber optic gyro and acoustic sensors. Richard worked with me on early patents and publications.
