Dr. Boreman is a pioneer in optical/infrared antennas. Beyond his direct research contributions, he has been an inspirational mentor for large number of students/researchers who have gone on to have a significant impact in infrared/optical science (many in the service to national needs). I am personally very grateful for his mentorship at the beginning of my career and greatly admire his integrity, directness, hard-work, and passion for the field of optics.
