Over a decade after I graduated from his research group, Dr. Boreman continues to be a motivation for me. He taught me not only about optical and infrared science, but how to become a successful professional via community service and professional involvement. He taught me that it is important and possible to stay engaged as an engineer and as a teacher. He has fostered his research group as a big, technically savvy family, and I am proud to be a graduate who considers him my mentor and friend.
