Honoring Joseph W. Goodman

I am honoring Joseph W. Goodman in recognition of his exceptional research contributions, and for being a superb role model, mentor and educator. His outstanding textbooks on optical information processing, optical computing, statistical optics and speckle have had enormous influence on me and on the research community in these areas. Their clear and insightful exposition has enhanced knowledge in optics and photonics and has led to many important practical applications of this technology.
