Inspire Students. Reward Success.
The OSA Foundation’s Annual Campaign raises critical funding to support our annual philanthropic programs. Foundation activities are funded 100% by individual and corporate donations and support youth science education activities and career development programs.
Thanks to the generosity of The Optical Society (OSA) and their commitment to cover administrative expenses, donor funds support programs and not administrative costs.
Our Annual Impact
The OSA Foundation Board of Directors has awarded program grants beginning in 2002. Our programs currently benefit over 7,000 individuals each year.
Directing your Annual Campaign Gift
General Fund (where we need it the most)
Donations to the general fund support our annual program activities. These funds are unrestricted and allow the Foundation to invest in new, innovative programs that fulfill our mission to inspire students and reward success.
Youth Education Outreach Fund
Donations to the Youth Education Outreach Fund provide funding to support youth science education resources to underserved populations around the world. Demonstration kits, games and cost effective lessons are just some of the ways in which this fund supports the community.
Student Travel Grant Fund
The OSA Foundation provides travel grants for students who study in developing nations so they may attend OSA technical meetings. These meetings help students advance their studies and expand their professional network.
