You know the extraordinary impact optics technology has played in making technological advances in our world and the critical role it plays in everyday life. But when you tell people you work in the field of optics, they probably think you are referring to eye glasses.
What’s Optics Have To Do With It? As an enabling technology, optics is a crucial component to the products we use everyday – optical fiber carries signals allowing people from around the globe to communicate, lasers are used in surgery allowing for less intrusive operations, night-vision equipment impacts how soldiers respond in the field, and sensors detect distance between automobiles. How has your technology impacted our world?
There will be two submission tracks – one for companies and the other for students.
Company Submissions
Answer a series of questions to provide a short story describing the impact your technology has made on Society.
What Will My Company Win?
