Technical Divisions

Currently, OSA has six broad technical divisions each comprised of specialty groups. Joining a technical group ensures that you will receive updates on OSA publications, meetings and activities in your areas of interest.

Members may select up to five technical groups when they join or renew – or at any time by updating their profile in My Account. Not an OSA Member? Join OSA and select the technical groups related to your field.

Optics & Photonics CONNECT enrollees have access to select technical community information. CONNECT enrollees can choose their technical divisions by updating their profile in My Account.

With the support of the Board of Meetings, OSA is implementing a Technical Group Development Pilot Program with the purpose of finding the best structure to raise the level of engagement within the technical groups.
