  The Optical Society Launches Language-Editing and Article-Level Metrics Services for Journal Authors

  The Optical Society (OSA) today announced the launch of two new services for authors submitting to or publishing papers in any of OSA's 15 peer-reviewed journals. A new language-editing service aims to help authors better polish the language in their articles before submitting them for peer-review, and Article-Level Metrics can now be tracked with every published article in OSA's digital library Optics InfoBase.

  OSA Foundation Launches Endowment Campaign for New Summer Learning Program in Honor of Anthony Siegman

  The OSA Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign for the Siegman International Summer School on Lasers, named in honor of Anthony E. Siegman, Optical Society (OSA) past president and founding member of the OSA Foundation Board. Siegman passed away in October 2011 at the age of 79.
