WASHINGTON – From fiber optics and telecommunications to medical imaging and cancer research, optics and photonics are advancing today’s critical technologies. These technologies are prevalent in almost every aspect of day-to-day life. The optics and photonics industry is forecasted to grow due to the wide range of application in lighting, displays, consumer imaging, vision correction and optical communications.
