Oriel® Instruments Introduces MS260i Series of Pre-Configured Imaging Spectrographs

Oriel Instruments

Irvine, CA Oriel Instruments, a Newport company, introduces the economical and user-friendly Oriel MS260i™ ¼ m imaging spectrograph. The MS260i product family consists of 40 pre-configured imaging instruments with excellent performance and all the most popular features. The Oriel MS260i is an ideal instrument for research and OEM applications and an economical alternative to full-featured spectrographs like the Oriel MS257i.

Each pre-configured model comes complete with a diffraction grating and input slit. They are designed to fit the needs of a large variety of applications ranging from UV to NIR. “We removed the ambiguity from the selection process making it easy to choose the right spectrograph,” says John Park, New Product Development Manager at Oriel Instruments. The MS260i series spectrographs are available with USB, RS232 and IEE-488 (GPIB) communication interfaces as well as an optional hand-held controller. There is a wide choice of micrometer adjustable slits, motorized slits or fixed slits for single or dual output models.

Dual output models include one output port for use with a camera, such as Oriel’s Linespec™ CCD. The second output port is configured with the same slit as the input port so that it can be used as a monochromator. Optionally, this output slit may be replaced with a second camera for extended range scans.
