International Meeting Support
Application for Optical Society of America’s Financial
Co-sponsorship of Meetings in Developing Nations
The Optical Society of America (OSA) International Council has allocated funds for investing in the global optics community by supporting international meetings. OSA will consider requests for cooperation with or co-sponsorship of meetings and review requests for financial sponsorship.
To be eligible for financial support, the meeting must be held in a developing country. Priority is given to new meetings or events, not regularly held conferences.
OSA grants are usually modest (under $5,000) and not intended to fully underwrite a meeting. Any support from OSA should be used to directly support registrants and enable their participation, not support publications, catering, facility rental or other organizational expense.
You may contact OSA Executive Office Programs at

have any questions. We look forward to reviewing your proposal.
