Journal of the Optical Society of America (JOSA) Publications Award

A generous member donated a sum of money to the Optical Society of America for the purpose of establishing a fund to defray publication charges. The Society created a JOSA Publications Award, which will be given to JOSA A or JOSA B authors. Publications costs to which this award may be applied include page charges, reprints and color charges. Individuals will be considered for this award if they meet one or more of the following criteria:

• A first-time author
• A senior retiree
• A citizen of a developing country

Applicants will be notified within two weeks of the status of their request. Only a limited number of awards will be presented each year. How to Apply for the JOSA Publications Award:

The JOSA A and JOSA B editors will choose recipients of the award. The individual(s) will be informed of the amount awarded and that amount will be deducted from their page charges.
