OSA offers financial support for several education, research and technical programs:

Congressional Science and Engineering Fellowships

For scientists and engineers interested in working on a Congressional committee or in the office of a member of Congress

Activities Grants

To support meetings, activities and education outreach programs, OSA offers OSA Local Section Activity Grants and OSA Student Chapter Activity Grants

Student Travel Grants

• Incubic/Milton Chang Student Travel Grants
  For students traveling to the Frontiers in Optics/OSA Annual Meeting or CLEO
• OSA Foundation Travel Grants
  For students traveling to OSA sponsored topical meetings and/or Frontiers in Optics/OSA Annual Meeting

Publications Award

The JOSA Publications Award offers funds to defray publication charges to eligible JOSA A and JOSA B authors

OSA Foundation Programs

The Foundation funds programs that advance youth science education, support optics and photonics in developing countries and provide education and resources to underserved populations. These programs provide travel support, memberships, resources and financial support to OSA members, Student Chapters, Local Sections, teachers, students and many others.
