Officers

The OSA officers each possess outstanding records of scientific achievement in the field of optics and distinguished service. The time and effort given by OSA's elected representatives provide a strong foundation for the Society's future.

Elections

Each year, the membership of the Society elects a Vice President and three Directors at Large to the Board of Directors. Each officer serves a term of one year, with the Vice President automatically progressing to President-Elect, President, and immediate Past President over a period of four years. Directors at Large serve three-year terms. The Treasurer is chosen by the Board of Directors from the voting members of the Society. The Chief Executive Officer serves at the pleasure of the Board.

Election for 2014 Offices

The OSA Board of Directors is pleased to present an outstanding slate of candidates for election to terms beginning in 2014. The election will open 25 June 2013 and close 13 September 2013; results will be announced on 8 October 2013 at the Annual Business Meeting in Orlando, FL, USA, during FiO/LS 2013.
