Michael Lubell, Director of Public Affairs, APS Washington Office and Professor of Physics, City College of New York (CCNY)
Don’t be scared. Understanding the federal budget isn’t as bad as it sounds. O.K., it is as bad as it sounds, but we will make it as easy as possible for you. Prepare for a crash-course on the state of the budgets scientists and engineers care about, historic trends and all the information you need for your meetings. Your legislators are not expecting you to be an expert on the federal budget. This briefing will give you the basics you need to understand what’s going on with the specific budgets that affect you and your profession. |
