The OSA Fellow designation is awarded to OSA Members who have made significant contributions to the advancement of optics. Candidates for Fellow Membership are nominated by peers who are themselves OSA Fellows. The OSA Fellow Members Committee reviews each nomination and recommends candidates to the Board of Directors annually. The number of Fellows is limited by the Society's bylaws to be no more than 10% of the total OSA Membership.
OSA Fellow Members are encouraged to nominate worthy candidates for this honor. The deadline for nominations is 15 June. Learn more about the nomination process and criteria.
Dues*
The following term options are available to Fellow Members:
1-Year: $120 USD ($60 USD for members residing in an economically developing nation)
3-Year: $315 USD
5-Year: $545 USD
Lifetime: $2,360 USD
OSA Member Benefits and Services

to visit and lecture in developing countries.
