- FREE PHYSICS TODAY (PT) SUBSCRIPTION – The flagship publication of the American Institute of Physics (AIP), Physics Today is a monthly magazine that features technical articles, news stories, reviews, and job listings. Members receive free printed issues and exclusive access to PT Online, including RSS feeds and news alerts.
- FREE JOURNAL & CONFERENCE PAPER CONTENT – Join and receive 50 free Optics InfoBase journal article or conference paper downloads. InfoBase is the largest collection of peer-reviewed optics and photonics content available with nearly 200,000 journal articles and conference papers from hundreds of technical meetings to choose from—papers are posted seven days after each meeting.

- CAREER SERVICES – Members may post their resumes on WORKinOPTICS.com and at OSA-hosted conference career centers plus access the Physics Today Career Network.
- FREE MEMBERS-ONLY EVENTS & ONLINE RESOURCES – OSA provides networking opportunities through special events and online resources such as the Members-Only Directory and Search engine.
- 5 FREE TECHNICAL GROUP DESIGNATIONS (choose from over 40 options) – Members are encouraged to join up to five technical groups free of charge. Group members receive special updates on OSA publications, meetings and other networking opportunities in their areas of interest.
- STUDENT & YOUNG PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS – OSA provides special services for members who are studying and launching their careers in optics and photonics.
- SUBSTANTIAL REGISTRATION & SUBSCRIPTION DISCOUNTS – Members attend OSA-hosted events free of charge or at greatly reduced rates. In fact, the member registration discount for just one meeting exceeds the cost of annual dues! Members also receive substantial subscription discounts on OSA and AIP publications.
- DISCOUNTS ON TECHNICAL BOOKS – Members receive discounts on McGraw Hill and John Wiley & Sons publications by using the Members-Only Discount pages located in the Members-Only section of OSA.org.
- PEER SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES – OSA Members have the opportunity to join the Optical Society of Korea, the Optical Society of India the Society for Applied Spectroscopy and/or the Spanish Optical Society when they join or renew their OSA affiliation.

- GRANTS, AWARDS, FELLOWSHIPS – OSA offers a wide range of science and engineering recognitions. Members are encouraged to nominate OSA colleagues for these honors.
- PERSONALIZED EMAIL ALIAS –The email alias service enables members to synchronize any email address with their OSA email address. Having an osamember.org alias is especially helpful when members change their personal or business email address because it automatically forwards their email. To register your own personalized alias, submit this form.
